A Message of Learning, Hope, Comfort, and Warning

DoubleBranchFWBChurch 2 Corinthians, General, New Testament, Old Testament, Proverbs, Romans, Topic Christ's second coming, comfort, self control, Sovereignty, testings

At difficult times, and when we face other difficulties in life, what truths do we need to remember and maybe learn for the first time? We need to remember that we are to control our spirit. God tests us in different ways and, as the Proverbs speak of, we need to control our spirits. We need to know that God will comfort us and use the difficulty in our lives to help us help others. One reason God allows difficulties in our life is that, after He has helped us, we can then help others with the comfort we have received from Him. We need to remember that God will work all things for our good. The Bible does not teach that all things are good that happen to us. But the Bible teaches that God will take the bad things that have happened to us and work them for our good. We need to remember that we do not know when our Lord will return and we must be ready to meet Him. In the days of Noah everyone was living normal life, and then the flood came. When people go through difficult times, one day maybe normal and then everything changes, we need to remember that that is how it will be when our Lord returns.
