Blessed are the Persecuted (Matthew 5:10-12)

The beatitudes turn our thinking upside down. No example does a better job than Jesus’ teaching that those who are persecuted for righteousness are blessed. Being persecuted because of Jesus shows that we are part of the people of God and are part of God’s Kingdom. Are you persecuted because you live righteously?
