Giving that Pleases God (Matthew 6:1-4)

DoubleBranchFWBChurch Matthew, New Testament, Sermon on the Mount, Topic church, giving, motives, rewards, secret

As it has been pointed out by others, giving today to a church can be looked upon with suspicion. Do churches use guilt tactics and manipulation to lead people to give? Though there are abuses, the Bible tells us that giving to the work of God is a good action that all who can should do. Christians are expected to give. Jesus says “when” we give, not “if.” But giving must not be done in a way where other people wrongly notice what we are doing. We are to give in secret and not let our left hand know what our right hand is doing. Our life must be lived for God, not to be honored by other people.
